Washing instructions

We recommend washing all hamam towels for the first time at 30 degrees to minimize shrinkage. In the future, they can be washed at 40 degrees. Read more in the product descriptions.

We do not recommend using fabric softener, as it reduces the towel's absorbency. We also do not recommend using homemade laundry vinegar.

Use a normal spin cycle (800-1200); you can leave the towel slightly damp, which makes it feel softer. We do not recommend tumble drying to prevent the tassels from twisting.

After a few washes, the absorbency improves significantly. In other words, its properties only get better the more you use it.

A hamam towel dries very quickly and does not retain the bacteria that cause odors, which is why lower temperatures are sufficient for a clean result with modern detergents. A hamam towel is eco-friendly; it takes up less space in the washing machine and consumes less energy, water, and detergent during washing.

If the tassels open during washing:

Towels are always checked before shipping, but very rarely tassels may unravel in the wash or dryer; you can retie the tassels more tightly while wet or dry. You can also iron them as you would other cotton products.

The tassels are easy to retie yourself as shown in the picture, and you can finish with a tight knot. That is, take two adjacent bundles of thread, hold the ends, twist both to the right, wrap them over each other, and finally tie a knot.
